Wednesday is Picture Day here at Brown. If you're planning to purchase pictures, please send your form with payment to school in the morning. My hope is that we will get our pictures taken before recess, but it's not definite. Please allow your child to bring combs, etc to freshen up if needed.
Your child's "In the News" handout is due tomorrow. This current events activity was introduced last week and students began working on the task then. It's been about one week and rather than assign too much at one time, we've delayed its due date until tomorrow. Before the students left, everyone was asked to double-check his or her GAME File for this handout or to look in the tray to see if he or she already turned it in.
We worked with lesson 1.5 with Mrs. Medjeski today! She's the Educator Trainer for the program this year. If you would like to work on any of the Study Links workbook pages for Unit 1 ONLY, please do so by Friday as we will have another drawing. I encourage students to work the pages each day to enforce the skills taught in class. However, it IS NOT AN ASSIGNMENT for a grade. We will do a weekly drawing for students that choose to complete the pages.

Spelling test and spelling packet due tomorrow. We will have dictation sentences for our test tomorrow, too! However, the wonderful way the 5th graders were playing our Spider Spelling game today, there should be a boat-load of 100%!
