Monday Book Clubbers received the book 'Countdown' today. Each Book Clubber will receive their copy on the day of their summary due date (Tuesday kids will get the novel tomorrow, etc).
Each students is asked to read at least 4 chapters and complete a one to two paragraph summary of the chapters read by his or her book club summary due date. However, the students are encouraged to read at least 90 minutes a week. If more chapters can be read in the timeframe, then go for it!
Our plan is to complete this novel by Thanksgiving (or before for some). I encourage the students to read aloud to parents, siblings, read with friends, etc to reach their weekly goals.
