Also tomorrow is picture day--Parents can get an order form from the Brown Elementary web page if one is needed for picture day tomorrow. I also have a couple of extras I can send home today if needed. Just let Mrs. Hill know. If a child DOES NOT have an order form and payment, he or she will NOT be photographed. Our pictures will take place at 11:00 tomorrow, Wednesday, April 13.
We have a snow make-up day on Monday, April 18! YEAH--more time to learn! Smiling!
Math Test: We originally scheduled our math test for Unit 9 on Friday. However, we're not getting through the unit as I had planned. Therefore, we will postpone the test until Tuesday, April 19. We will finish the unit and prep for the test prior to Tuesday. A study guide will go home this week to prepare the students for the contents of the test.
ISTEP is quickly approaching. This year, fifth grade students will take this portion of the ISTEP test (multiple choice) on the computer. We will complete a practice test today in order to understand how it will work. ISTEP week begins Monday, April 25 and will continue each day that same week. Please try to get to school on those days on time, and reschedule any appointments, if possible, so your child does not miss any of the testing.
We are headed to Victory Field on Thursday, May 19 to watch the Indianapolis Indians play a baseball game! We will send home permission slips on Friday, April 29. We have five reserved spaces for parent volunteers, however, we would LOVE to have as many other parents attend as wish to, too. Those parents, beyond the 5 volunteers, will need to MEET us at the field rather than ride the bus with the class and will need to purchase a ticket at the gate.
Thursday, May 19: Fifth Grade party after field trip!!! More information to come . . .
Friday, May 20 is Brown Elementary's Field Day! Please email Macy McMullen if you'd like to volunteer for the day! We'd love to have as many parents to cheer us on that day as possible! We will be wearing our team tshirts and pink bandanas!

Tuesday, May 24 is our Marsville event! Parents are welcomed to attend and highly encouraged. More information to come . . .
